Services also include public adjuster for property insurance claims; (fire, water damage, wind damage)Public adjusters are licensed and regulated by the department of insurance. A public adjuster or an attorney are the only ones who can legally represent property owners in an insurance claim. The public adjuster writes an estimate of the damage using an industry recognized and accepted estimation program. The public adjuster meets with the insurance company field adjuster and negotiates the claim on behalf of the property owner. The public adjuster is paid a percentage of the claim, ten percent on larger claims and up to twenty percent on smaller claims.
